The annual observance of the International Day of Disabled People (IDDP) started in 1992. Taking place every 3rd of December, it aims to promote disabled peoples’ rights and well-being in all spheres of society and development, as well as increase awareness of the situations disabled people face within every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.

In 2020, to celebrate IDDP, Disability in Wales and Africa, Hub Cymru Africa, and Purple Field Productions, have joined together to present the Kenya-based, 70-minute feature film, Lisilojulikana (The Unknown).

Following the screening, there will be an opportunity to ask questions to a panel, and to discuss some of the issues highlighted by the film.
